Morning Breakfast: Bella Paulista

Start the day with a nice breakfast at Bella Paulista bakery, at Rua Haddock Lobo, near Avenida Paulista. One of the most popular bakeries in São Paulo, with a diversified menu of bread options, sweets, meals and products.

Morning Ride: Avenida Paulista

Large wide avenue with two lanes and 4 lanes each, where several cars and buses travel. Among them, a bicycle path with red floor, and a rectangular black pole and quite high in the center, with a traffic light at the top. On both sides of the avenue, wide sidewalks, several pedestrians and dozens of commercial buildings side by side, from start to finish. All under a very blue sky without clouds.

Walk to Conjunto Nacional, which has Livraria Cultura – enormous and with a delicious atmosphere for a ride –, some stores and a currency exchange store. Return to Av. Paulista, where you can visit several other attractions, like Centro Cultural da Fiesp, Parque Mário Covas and Parque Trianon, which is across the street from Museu de Arte de São Paulo (Masp), where you can go for lunch.

Lunch: A Baianeira restaurant – MASP

Diagonal picture. All building in apparent concrete in the shape of a giant rectangular box. It has a thick slab of apparent cement across the top and a slightly thinner across the floor. It is all lined with innumerable long and narrow glass panels, bound by a large metal structure. This "box" (building) is suspended in the air, creating a free span of more than 70 meters in length by 18 meters in width and 6 meters in height, which extends under four huge red rectangular pillars. On the left side, several commercial buildings. To the front, part of the avenue with 2 lanes separated by a narrow sidewalk, where several cars travel.

On Tuesdays, the museum is free. Before visiting, take advantage to have lunch around there, at the museum’s restaurant or go to the “prainha”, a place that gathers several bars and restaurants on Alameda Joaquim Eugênio de Lima.

Afternoon Ride: Masp and more Paulista

In a square with concrete floors and a dense forest with very tall trees in the background, stands a large structure all rectangular wood without walls. The ceiling is formed by a frame with a series of thin beams side by side, supported by several rectangular columns. Behind it all, the top of a tall commercial building of concrete and blue glass. Everything under a strong sun and a very blue sky without clouds.

The museum is one of the most important in Latin America and one of the most visited in the country. Enjoy the works of Monet, Rafael, Renoir, Picasso and Van Gogh, among several others. Heading out of there, Keep on Av. Paulista. There are other very interesting cultural centers, like Casa das Rosas, for literature and poetry, and Itaú Cultural, always with amazing expositions.
