Breakfast + Morning Ride: Praça da República

Do you still have energy left after an agitated Saturdays? If you still have it, go to Praça da República. Previously known as Largo dos Curros, it was a place for paulistanos of the 19^th century to have fun in bullfights and rodeos. The square, which is a nice link between old and new downtown, also has a nice building planned by Ramos de Azevedo, which is the current Secretaria Estadual da Educação.

On Sundays, there is the Artesanato da República Arts and Handcraft fair. It has over 600 stands that sell everything, from the most diverse kinds of handcraft, to paintings and other art objects from all over Brazil, and neighbor countries, like Peru. There are also several food stands where you can have a great breakfast or lunch.

Lunch: Bar Brahma

Nearby, on the famous corner of Avenida Ipiranga with Avenida São João, as sang by Caetano Veloso, is, since 1948, Bar Brahma. The tap beer is of fine quality and the snacks are delicious. On Sundays, there is a buffet from noon 5pm. There is also great musical performances with popular names of Brazilian music.

Afternoon Ride: Museu do Futebol or a game at Pacaembu Stadium

On Estádio do Pacaembu there is Museu do Futebol, one of the most visited of the city. All interactive and technological, it has holograms, audio commentary of classic goals, and videos of remarkable moments, electronic games, curiosities and more. However, in game days, the museum is closed. If on Sunday there is a big game, the tip is to stay and enjoy the game, it’s always exciting.

Dinner: Mestiço

Restaurant facade with large windows on the side and a door in the center, all with light wood structure and glass. Between them, on both sides and in the center, narrow walls covered by square blue and green pebbles. Above, covering the whole facade, a white awning, where the word "Mestiço" is written in black letters. In front, on the right, a very wide bench made of wooden slats and iron frame (garden bench). The sidewalk in front is decorated by several stylized drawings of a small map of the State of São Paulo, formed by hydraulic tiles, black and white, interspersed, as if it were a great mosaic.

At Rua Fernando de Albuquerque, almost on the corner of Rua da Consolação, there is restaurante Mestiço. From a contemporary diversified kitchen, with Tai specialties and Bahia food, there is a wide and friendly public in its environment.
