The Sítio Morrinhos is an architectural complex that is part of the history of the capital circuit. For admirers of antiques, besides the outbuildings, dating from the eighteenth century, the site is also installed Archaeology Center of São Paulo, a space dedicated to São Paulo archeology and his scientific discoveries.
Originally, it was a rural residence serving as headquarters site, owned by Baruel family. The main house, the oldest part of the whole, has building typology with the characteristics of the call bandeirista architecture (built with rammed earth technique).
