Highest point of the city of São Paulo, with 1135 meters of altitude, the Jaragua Peak offers visitors the most amazing panorama of São Paulo (with a view that reaches up to 55 km).
In 1946, Pico do Jaragua was transformed into tourist spot and a few years later, in 1961, created the State Park Jaragua, so that visitors have access to the historical part of the site. The park was declared in 1983 by Condephaat and in 1994 as World Heritage Site by Unesco.
