A good option to enjoy nature in the east of the city is Piqueri Park. With over 97,000 square meters in size, the park has in its structure walking path, beach soccer field, society court, sports courts, fitness equipment, playground, lake, stage for performances and bocce shells.
The Piqueri name refers to the Indian tribe that inhabited the region. On site, operated a farm of the same name and turned park in 1976. Its vegetation has more than 150 species, including five endangered species, such as pine- Parana. Among the species of animals, more than 90 types live in the park, especially birds like the woodpecker, robin and parrot delight visitors.
