The neighborhood of Liberdade, in downtown São Paulo, is famous for taking to the Japanese culture. It is there where also lies the Museum of Japanese Immigration, which has some of the history of the first Nipponese immigrants who came to Brazil.
The site has a collection of more than 97,000 historical items, such as documents, photos, videos and movies and is located inside the building of the Brazilian Society of Japanese Culture, occupying three floors of the building.
