The Copan Building located in the city center, is a symbol of modern Brazilian architecture. His project was designed by Oscar Niemeyer in 1954, in the form of “S” and is always evident in the city ‘s skyline.
The building has the largest reinforced concrete structure in the country with 115 meters high, divided into 32 floors and 120,000 square meters of built area. It is divided into six blocks with a total of 1,160 apartments of various sizes, an estimated 5,000 residents and 70 businesses.
