Located in the upscale neighborhood Morumbi, west of the city, the Cemetery of Morumby was founded by Mr Laércio Court in 1968. It is famous for the originality of its architecture in the shape of circles and by different landscaping.
In an area of 300 thousand square meters, the space became the first ” Park Cemetery in South America “, which attracts many visitors, especially on All Souls Day, November 2nd. The place became known worldwide as this is where the body of Ayrton Senna, who died in 1994 in an accident during a Formula 1 race, is buried.
