Located in the Plaza Civic Ulysses Guimarães, in downtown São Paulo, the Catavento Cultural is one of the city’s most attractive public spaces that young audiences look for information and entertainment.
The site aims to present scientific and cultural knowledge transmitted through play, through exhibitions and other interactive environments.
The Catavento facilities are divided into four main sections dealing with certain topics. The first, entitled Universe, talks about outer space and on the planets of our solar system; the second is called Life, and tells the story of evolution on Earth, since the first animals to man; Ingenuity, the third section provides an overview of human creations in science; Society shows the coexistence of problems faced by many people in the world.
Opened in 2009, the old building of the Industry Palace, this Cultural and Educational pinwheel has more than eight thousand square meters of area in which they are dispersed about 250 attractions that promise to entertain children, youth and adults of all tastes.
