Located on the second best city in the world to do business, Anhembi is the most versatile and one of the largest event centers in Latin America. The area was inaugurated in 1970, with Salão do Automóvel, and it’s the result of great entrepreneurism by visionary Brazilian Caio Alcântara Machado, who took seriously the concept of business fairs, and even then glimpsed that Anhembi would help transforming São Paulo into the largest business tourism hub in South America.
Nowadays, with its more than 400,000 square meters in size, Anhembi hosts 30% of the main events taking place in Brazil and 55% of the country’s Southeast Region events. The complex annually receives more than 6 million people during nearly 1,000 events of all sizes and genres performed in its facilities.

Not surprisingly, one of the most important celebrations of São Paulo’s culture – carnival – is held at the Anhembi Sambadrome, whose architectural design is signed by Oscar Niemeyer.
Situated in a prime location, of easy access, the expositions center is near airports, hotels and main highways, in addition to a parking lot that can accommodate up to 8500 vehicles. With lease areas able to host events of all sizes, Anhembi’s structure includes: the Expositions Pavillion, the Conventions Palace and the Sambódromo – that besides the track where the samba schools parade, also it has two arenas for shows and Espaço Anhembi – which can also be used along with the track structure and Sambódromo’s stands.
