This new addition to the neighborhood of Perdizes is another tasteful option for chocolate lovers. After opening in March, Madame Brigadeiro prepares more than forty flavors of brigadeiro (R$ 3,50), such as nutella, paçoca (peanut based), mint, ninho milk, as well as a variety of desserts, pies and ice cream.
Made with imported ingredients, cakes are another house specialty. There is the traditional brigadeiro cake, the special pistachio cake and the thousand leaves cake made with a double layer of gourmet brigadeiro or dulce de leche.
Run by Renata Meirelles, an expert Easter egg maker, the store also serves savory small plates, such as irresistible quiches of garlic, lorraine, caramelized onions, and traditional tidbits such as pão de queijo (cheese bread), heart-of-palm puff pastry and chicken empanadas (mini pot pies).
