By architect Isay Weinfeld and decorated with solemn wooden elements, leather and soccer team flags, Trattoria restaurant, opened by the Fasano network serves typical and classic dishes from Puglia, Basilicata and Calabria of Southern Italy.
The menu was designed by the network’s owner, Rogerio Fasano, and by chef Luca Gozzani, former chef at Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence and Fasano Al Mare. The food will be prepared by Chef José Branco, former head chef of the restaurant Fasano Gero.
Although risottos are not included in the menu, the restaurant serves flavorful dishes and is dedicated to maintaining the authenticity and originality of its recipes, such as the berinjela à parmegiana (eggplant parmigiana with tomato sauce, basil and mozzarella, and the polpetone, oven roasted, according to tradition of the boot country, breaded and fried.
Trattoria, in Italian, refers to a style of gastronomic establishments, less formal than a ristorante and larger than an osteria. The restaurant is more concerned with maintaining a loyal clientele than a high-standard kitchen, so low prices and casual table service are essential characteristics.
