Now alviverdes (Palmeiras soccer team) fans have an official meeting place in the city of São Paulo. Inaugurated on November 22 in Pompeia, Cantina Palestra is an official gastronomic network of the Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras.
Recently, an idol of the fans was at the pre-inauguration of the venue: former player Ademir da Guia stopped by to savor some of the menu’s delicacies, such as the Divino panini, the 1947 Fettucine Ossobuco and the dessert Pudim Palestra Itália.
“I loved the place. Now I want to come to eat here every day. I just can’t eat too much and get fat, because I still participate in some of the games with the master team,” said the former #10 jersey of the green team, in amusement.
The Cantina Palestra operates from Sunday to Sunday, so the palestrinos (Palmeiras fans) can have lunch, dinner and meet up with friends on days that the games are not being broadcasted.
The restaurant’s opening hours are from Monday to Thursday, from 11:30am To 11:00pm; Friday and Saturday, from 11:30am to 12:00am; And Sundays and holidays, from 12:00pm to 11:00pm.
The environment is 100% palmeirense. Graffiti on the wall portray some idols of the club and the decoration is all in green and white, making customers feel right at home.
