The Pateo do Collegio is where the city of São Paulo was born from the construction of a small wattle and daub hut where they met Jesuits committed to evangelize the natives. The official ceremony of the city’s founding occurred on 25 January 1554. This is also the date of conversion of the Apostle Paul, which originated the name of the capital.

Today the complex houses cultural activities. As one of the main symbols of São Paulo history, the place still preserves the original spelling of archaic Portuguese. Travel back in time tunnel and surprise with the start of the trajectory of one of the most important cities in Latin America.
