Oca – Lucas Nogueira Garcez Pavilion

Designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer and inaugurated in 1954, the building of Oca is an exhibition space with over 10 thousand square meters and one of the attractions of Ibirapuera Park. Its official name is Lucas Nogueira Garcez Pavilion, but the common name refers to the similarity of the structure, which has shape of the typical indigenous housing, hollow call.

Renovated by architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha in 2000, the site has an auditorium with 129 seats and receives several exhibitions and installations, many foreign, throughout the year.
