Multimedia collection, futurist feature of facilities and references to great facts in Brazilian XX century history are present in this visit, even if you are not a football fan. With an investment of R$ 32,500,000, Football Museum is a great attraction in São Paulo, a 6,900 m² area under Pacaembu Stadium bleachers. It is integrated-space architecture: Ceiling is bleacher itself, a foot walk connect east and west side of building, with an opportunity to overlook the beautiful Praça Charles Miller.
Three axles guide your visit: Emotion, History and Fun. Visitors start at entrance lobby, Hall of Supporters, where you will see several objects used by supporters, like key rings, flags, pins and banners.
Then, you will go to feel with your idols. Large panels at Baroque Angels Room display images of Pelé, Falcão, Zico, Bebeto, Didi, Romário, Ronaldo, Gilmar, Gérson, Sócrates, Rivelino, and others.
Personalities like Zagalo, Armando Nogueira, Galvão Bueno, Juca Kfouri, Arnaldo César Coelho, Daniel Piza, João Gordo, Marcelo Tas and Ruy Castro cry their preferred goals. You can listen to their voices at Hall of Goals. Original recordings of Ary Barroso, Fiori Gigliotti, Oduvaldo Cozzi, Waldir Amaral, Jorge Cury and Osmar Santos are available at Hall of the Radio.
At “History” axle, Hall of Origins shows the importance of ethnic mixture in our football with pictures and video. At Hall of Heroes, important Brazilian personalities in the century are presented, like Leônidas da Silva and Ademir da Guia. Inside a close tunnel, visitors feel “Rite of Passage, World Cup ‘50’. Giant cups made up with painting and LCD screens show the main features of the country between World Cups. Pelé and Garrincha Experience Room pays homage to these football artists who never lost a match playing together.
At “Fun” axle, visitors will find Figures and Curiosities Room, a large interactive yearbook, and Football Dance, where you will listen to elements about dribble and goal. At Game of Body Room, you may test your shooting power, simulate taking a penalty! Tour finishes at Pacaembu Room, celebration this historical stadium in Brazil.
