Before traveling with pets, check your transport company. The most common means are car and plane. Nor all bus companies accept to carry animals. Cats and dogs can fly, however, there are some rules established by the company and you should know before, such as: Dimensions and type of transport box, sanitary certification properly registered (until 8 days before embarking) and anti-rabies vaccine, animal transit guide provided by the Ministry of Agriculture Additionally to such documents, airway companies require submission to their internal policies.

In the city of São Paulo, you must check if the hotel accepts pets, as many of the do not. However, there are pet hotels.

It is forbidden to trade and transport wild animals within Brazil and abroad. Brazilian law states prison penalty for those involved in such practices.
