Capital city wins 25 positions and becomes the most fashionable city in Latin America.

The city of São Paulo jumps to the eighth position in world fashion ranking. The annual ranking was published last July, 20, by Global Language Monitor, group based in the United States specialized in tracking word searches and results on the Internet and general media.

The capital city of São Paulo jumped 25 positions in the list comparing to the 33rd position last year. Milan is the number one after New York being the leader for five years.

According to President of São Paulo Turismo (SPTuris), Caio Luiz de Carvalho, the result is only a reflex of the quality of work being performed. "This winning is a prize for the excellent production made in São Paulo. Our goal is stimulating more and more creative economies and working creative talents of the city. This is our main assets”, says. "So we will be able to see more frequently other persons like Paulo Borges, a great talent who started here and trusts in the power of Sao Paulo”, says the President of SPTuris, referring to the creator of Sao Paulo Fashion Week.

Additionally of the main fashion week in Brazil, responsible for bringing more than 20,000 tourists to São Paulo, the city is the scenery for several other related events, creating fashion clusters on dates close to SPFW (in the beginning and in the middle of the year), calling the attention of professionals and entrepreneurs, and making the economy of the city grow.
